Top down, back to front
Dust and grease travel downwards. Working ceiling-to-floor and back-to-front means nothing gets re-dirtied after it has been cleaned.
A deep clean goes where a regular clean never has time to: inside the oven, behind the loo, along every skirting board and into the grout. One long, thorough visit that resets the whole house.
A regular clean keeps a home ticking over. A deep clean is a different job: we work from the ceiling down and from the back of the room forwards, so dust and grease end up on the floor and then out of the house, rather than being pushed around. Nothing is wiped over the top of: surfaces are cleared, cleaned, and put back.
It is the right service if you are moving into a new place, coming out of a renovation, preparing for a new baby, getting the house ready for visitors, or simply looking at a bathroom where limescale has quietly won. It is also the usual starting point before a regular domestic clean, because it gives your cleaner a clean baseline to maintain.
Deep cleans are quoted as a fixed price for the whole job, not by the hour. We look at the number of rooms and the condition, agree the price, and then the time it takes is our problem instead of yours.
Every deep clean is built from this list and then adjusted to your property. You get the agreed version in writing before the visit.
They overlap, and plenty of companies use the words interchangeably. The way we separate them is simple: a deep clean is about condition, and a spring clean is about reset and declutter. If the grout, oven and limescale are the problem, book a deep clean. If the house is basically clean but you want cupboards turned out, windows done and the whole place aired and refreshed for the season, a spring clean fits better.
If you are at the end of a tenancy, you want neither. You want an end of tenancy clean, which is checklisted against what letting agents in Plymouth actually inspect.
A one-bedroom flat is usually a half-day job for one cleaner. A three-bedroom house is typically a full day, or half a day with a team of two. Four bedrooms and above almost always means a team, partly for speed and partly because ladders, machines and long degreasing dwell-times are easier to manage with two pairs of hands.
Condition matters more than size. A three-bed that has been cleaned fortnightly for years takes far less time than a two-bed that has not been deep cleaned since the tenants moved in. That is exactly why we quote on the property , not off a price list.
Plymouth's water is on the softer side compared with much of England, which is good news for kettles. But bathrooms here still build up a stubborn film of soap scum, body oils and mineral deposit, especially in homes with electric showers and in the older housing stock around Stoke, Devonport and the city centre.
We treat shower screens, tiles and taps with the right dwell time rather than scrubbing hard and scratching the finish, and we use non-abrasive methods on chrome, resin trays and painted surfaces. Sea air is the other local factor: coastal properties around Plymstock and the Hoe collect salt film on window frames and glass far faster than inland homes, so interior glass and frames always get proper attention.
Deep cleans are fixed-price for the whole job. The guide below assumes an occupied, reasonably maintained home; heavier jobs are quoted higher and we tell you why.
| Property | Typical time on site | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1 bed flat | Half day | Single cleaner, 3 to 4 hours |
| 2 bed house or flat | Half to full day | 4 to 6 hours |
| 3 bed house | Full day | 6 to 8 hours, or 2 cleaners for half a day |
| 4+ bed house | Team of two | Quoted on inspection of the property |
| Add carpet cleaning | Per room | See carpet cleaning |
Guide prices only. Every job is quoted individually after we understand the size and condition of the property. See the full Plymouth cleaning price list.

Limescale and baked-on grease need chemistry and time. Letting products work beats scrubbing, and it protects your surfaces.
You get the room-by-room list we worked to. If something on it is not right, we come back within 24 hours free of charge.
Send us the number of bedrooms and bathrooms and a rough idea of condition. We will come back with a fixed, all-in price for the whole job.
Many customers combine two or three services into a single visit: just mention it when you ask for your quote.
Covering the whole of Plymouth plus the surrounding towns and villages.
Deep cleans are priced for the job rather than by the hour, because condition matters as much as size. As a rough guide a one-bed flat is a half-day job, a three-bed house is a full day, and anything larger is usually a team of two. Send us the number of bedrooms and bathrooms and we will give you one fixed figure covering everything.
A regular clean maintains a home: surfaces, floors, kitchen and bathrooms within a set time slot. A deep clean resets it: inside the oven and fridge, inside cupboards, grout scrubbed, limescale removed, every skirting board, door frame, radiator and sill done by hand. It takes several times longer, which is why it is a one-off visit , not a recurring one.
Very little. Clearing personal clutter from worktops and floors helps, because we then spend the time cleaning instead of moving things, and it is worth telling us about anything fragile or any surface that must not be treated with certain products. We bring everything else.
Yes, and it is a popular option. Kitchens and bathrooms are where deep cleaning makes the biggest visible difference, so plenty of customers book those two rooms and keep the rest on a regular clean. We quote it as a smaller fixed-price job.
We can remove surface mould from sealant, grout and painted surfaces, and treat the area so it stays clear longer. What we cannot do is fix the cause. Mould that keeps returning is a ventilation or damp issue, and in a rented property that is something your landlord needs to address. We will tell you honestly which of the two you are dealing with.
In most cases yes. A two or three hour regular visit cannot undo months of build-up, so without a reset your cleaner spends every visit chasing the backlog instead of maintaining the house. One deep clean first makes every regular visit afterwards more effective.
