Mannamead has some of the largest period houses in Plymouth. The villas along Mannamead Road, Thorn Park and the leafier streets towards Hartley and Compton are frequently four or five bedrooms over three floors, with high ceilings, bay sashes, large landings and original joinery throughout. For houses of four bedrooms and above we often send two cleaners , not one. The cost is the same per hour of work, but the house is finished in half the time and the quality is more consistent, because nobody is still cleaning bathrooms five hours into a shift.

Two cleaners also make the heavier jobs practical: moving beds and sofas to clean behind them, lifting rugs, handling long sash windows safely. If you have a house here that has never quite been cleaned properly in one visit, this is usually why.
